Hotel Altis is a symbol of elegant and genuine Portuguese hospitality. In total, the hotel has three restaurants. Grill D. Fernando has fine panoramic views over the city and the rise, and an atmosphere of elegance and comfort. It offers excellent traditional Portuguese dishes, including a wide variety of fresh fish from the nearby coast, with the glamour of show cooking and a very extensive and carefully-selected wine list.  For lighter meals around the clock, the best option is the Rendez Vous Coffee Shop where you can enjoy creative cooking in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. On Sundays, or for private banquets, there is the Restaurante Girssol. Its room can be adapted to offer either a cosy space or a room seating 450. For relaxation, the Bar Herald, with a Portalegre tapestry by the artist Sa Noueira as a backdrop and piano music at the end of the day. While Bar S. Jorge's balcony offers dramatic vistas over the city; perfect for a sunset drink.
