Berghs School Of CommunicationThe Idea - The Eurobest Young Creative Competition

The Idea is your chance to show the rest of Europe what you have to offer.  Work with a select group of other young creatives from your country to create an exciting, innovative and award-winning integrated campaign… in 48 hours.

A brief for the campaign will be set by a client appointed by Eurobest.  As a team you will then have two days to create a winning integrated campaign.  You must use at least 3 different media and meet the criteria set out in the brief.  The client is a charity whose identity will remain secret until the competition.

This is not for the faint hearted.  You must be able to fight the ordinary and destroy the competition.  But winning will give you the ultimate reward…a reputation in the industry as ‘the best of the best’ (as well as delegate passes to Eurobest 2009!).

The Details
Your team will be made up of two to four young creatives, aged 28 years or under, selected by your country’s Festival Representative.

The competition will be held at The Berghs School of Communication in Stockholm between 30 November and 3 December. The teams will all be briefed by the client on Sunday 30 November at 12:00 The Berghs.  You will then have until 18:00 on Tuesday 2 December to complete your entry.

Bring along your laptop, digital camera and whatever else you think you’ll need to make your submission the best.

Each team will have to describe their campaign in 250 words or less. You will also be expected to describe how the campaign will be launched, executed and the appropriate channels (minimum of 3) used, in 250 words or less.  Your submission should be on a presentation board with at least one piece of supporting material.  Your supporting material can include, but is not limited to:

Media plan
Print/Outdoor roughs
Film ad or script
Radio ad or script
Website
Point of sale materials
Brochures/leaflets
Product pack designs/ideas
Mobile
Social media
Digital signage

A budget will be given to all teams.

You will have access to images, video and music for you to incorporate into the final submission.  Technical support will also be available throughout the competition and a representative from the charity will be there to provide assistance regarding the brief.

Team Selection
Teams will require a minimum of two and a maximum of four young creatives, aged 28 years or under.

Teams will be selected and organised by the Festival Representatives in each European country. A young creative working outside Europe can still compete but you’ll represent your home country, not the country they’re working in.
