We've designed the new Young Marketers Academy specifically for young professionals working for client companies from across Europe.

Over the three days of the Festival, the Eurobest Academy for Young Marketers tackles the major issues surrounding creativity in communications. It's the perfect way for the next generation of client marketing talent to genuinely get to grips with the way how creativity can be applied to their marketing strategies.

The course is designed for advertising managers, brand managers, business development managers, communications managers, marketing managers, media managers and sales managers. Some topics that may be covered include:

  • Why creativity matters for today’s successful brands
  • Creative effectiveness
  • The impact of digital
  • The 'modern' brand
  • Managing the creative process and the client-agency relationship

WITH AN EXPERIENCED TUTOR

Alex d’Arte is an academic specialising in communications and marketing, who teaches at IADE - Creative University, in Lisbon and around the world.

Over the course of his career he’s had the opportunity to work for several multinational companies in Portugal and Brazil, such as TBWA, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy, W/Portugal, W/Brazil, Lowe and Brandia Central.

A maximum of 30 young professionals aged 30 or under are welcomed onto the Academy this year. To be eligible, you must:

  • Have worked for a client marketer such as Coca-Cola, General Motors or Unilever for at least two years;
  • Have experience writing creative briefs and working with agencies;
  • Be 30 years old or under on 30 November 2012.

under the guidance of an industry expert

The new academy is be guided by veteran ad man Kevin Allen. Recognised as one of the advertising industry's most accomplished growth professionals, Kevin has spent more than 20 years at the likes of McCann-Erickson, the Interpublic Group and Lowe Worldwide. Kevin led the creation of the transformative ‘Priceless’ campaign for MasterCard, alongside efforts for other brands including AT&T, General Electric, JP Morgan Chase, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, The Ritz-Carlton, Smith Barney and Wendy’s.

This academy is open to anyone working on the client side of a creative communications agency aged 28 or under on 30 November 2012.
