WHAT & WHY?

The Young Creatives competition is sponsored by the City of Hamburg  and the competition will be hosted by the
Miami Ad School Hamburg

What is it?
The Young Creatives Integrated Competition is a chance for young creatives to show off their skills to their peers, the industry and the whole of Europe. Teams of young creatives work to create a unique, eye-catching integrated campaign … in only 48 hours! This competition is a challenging test of determination and creative excellence, but is a great way of getting noticed by the industry.

The Competition...

A brief for the campaign is set by a client appointed by Eurobest. Each team then has only two days to create a winning campaign that fulfils the brief using at least three different media. At least one execution of a media type must be produced by the team within the allotted competition time. Teams have access to images, video and music courtesy of Getty Images.

Once their work has been submitted, teams present their campaigns to a select jury of senior figures from the advertising, marketing and communications industry who select the winners. The competition takes place at the Miami Ad School Hamburg.

Miami Ad School Hamburg About the Miami Ad School...
The Miami Ad School is not just a school of advertising: it’s a design school, creative writing school, portfolio school, photography school, technical school, copywriting school, film school, business school and think tank, all rolled into one.

It offers Art Direction, Copywriting and Graphic Design programmes, which take two years, or eight “quarters”. In the first year, students can choose a base school in Hamburg, Berlin, Miami, San Francisco, Minneapolis, New York, Madrid or Sao Paulo to get their basic education. In the second year, students can then go away to study and do internships or have classes at agencies or other Miami Ad School locations in various places worldwide. It is one of the most awarded advertising schools in the world.

The winners...

The winning team is awarded a Gold medal at the Eurobest Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 8 December, and each team member receives a free registration to Eurobest 2011.

Why should I get involved?

The Young Creatives Competition is a valuable opportunity for young advertising professionals to learn from industry leaders, share experiences with their peers and leave Hamburg filled with ideas and inspiration.

Winning will give you the ultimate reward…a reputation in the industry as ‘the best of the best’. Last year’s winning team were Eugeniy Danilov, Creative Director at Kraker and Pavel Ganin, Art Director at BBDO Moscow from Russia.

“It was an amazing experience. It was my first victory at an advertising festival and it has brought me a lot of personal confidence, as I realised that I am on the right track in my career. Winning the Young Creatives at Eurobest 2009 changed my life. I changed city, job, everything.

"It is one of the most interesting competitions for young creators because integrated campaigns are a powerful tool in the ad industry today. I would definitely recommend entering this year, as it is the good way to prove that you are really the best young creative in Europe!”
-Eugeniy Danilov, part of the winning Russian 2009 Young Creatives team.
