Crack & Cider: How adland made us turn to crack and cider

Thursday 1 December

1430 - 1500

Marmi Room

Hosted by: Crack & Cider

Mad Men had us fooled. After five years of AdLand we realised that we had traded whiskey, caviar and award shows for hashtags, banner ads and pizza.
So, as our creative juices were drying up like a puddle in the desert (aptly uncreative metaphor), we hatched a plan. We wanted to show that creativity could do more than double the CTR of a CTA: it could disrupt an entire sector, change lives and maybe even change the world.
We confided in each other that although we cared about homeless people, we never handed over money on the street. With this simple yet powerful insight we launched a pro-social project which, in six weeks, raised enough to keep London’s 7,500 homeless people warmer in the coldest winter in four years.
We will share an (probably too honest) account of our journey and give you a simple guide on how you can start your own social impact side project.
