As millennials congregate into niche networks they are more difficult to reach through traditional marketing methods. With brands taking to new methods to follow their consumers and make an impact on them, influencer marketing is the new buzzword. But how effective is it? According to a study by McKinsey & Company, “marketing-induced consumer-to-consumer word of mouth generates more than twice the sales of paid advertising”. It provides a channel for introducing products and is a powerful tool for penetrating new markets and engaging with new audiences.
