The world is changing fast. Technology is evolving, consumers are becoming more demanding, and talented employees have grown increasingly discerning about where they want to work. The pressure is on for companies to transform their working practises and become more creative – and yet many are struggling to pull it off.
Why? It’s down to the cult of the creative director – a way of working that gives one individual or department a monopoly over creativity.
It’s time for a rethink. Today, businesses need employees who can collaborate across disciplines, each bringing their expertise to bear on the creative process. When creativity is monopolised, this simply doesn’t happen.
It’s time for an approach that’s more inclusive, more collaborative and ultimately, more productive.
In this talk, Charlie will tell the personal (and at times painful) story that helped him reach this conclusion – from working in a traditional ad agency to bringing a creative process to his current company.
He’ll outline his vision for a fresh approach that gives creative ownership to everyone – applied creativity.
