After studying design in Sydney back in early 2000, Joakim began his career at a digital agency in London, where he, among other things designed clothing giant Uniqlo’s first e-commerce site that quickly grew to become their flagship store. After a couple of years in London, he went to the digital advertising agency Daddy in Gothenburg where he worked with customers such as Telia, Posten and SAS. When Daddy teamed up with the american agency CP B Joakim was given the responsibility to develop international campaigns for e.g. Burger King and Ubisoft. Joakim was recruited in 2012 to DDB Stockholm where he developed award winning ideas for the Swedish Armed Forces, Lufthansa and Bonniers Konsthall. In 2016, Joakim moved to Amsterdam and started at the US agency 72andSunny. There he worked with global assignments for clients like Google and Samsung.
??Nowadays Joakim is the sole Creative Director of Swedish top advertising agency Åkestam Holst.
??Leading the talented collective of creatives to more and bigger success. Joakim has been praised many times in most major advertising competitions in the world. He recently picked up 3 Grand prix in Eurobest, Silver and bronze in Cannes and became the most awarded creative in the 2020 Golden Egg Competition with 2 gold and 8 silver. Jury experience include: Cannes Lions, Young Lions, ADC Awards, Shots Awards, AICP Awards, The golden Egg etc.
